Run a Node

VALIDATOR REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

We are excited that the Constellation Mainnet is launching soon! In this spirit we are looking for pioneers who want to participate in hosting Constellation nodes in order to lay the foundation of a strong global network.

Foundation Nodes

The MainNet will launch with up to 100 foundation nodes. Applicants will be selected based on a set of criteria that best align with the trajectory of the Constellation Network. However, once proven to be stable, this number will increase and the scope of participants will widen.

Aligned Priorities

Applicants will be selected based on a set of criteria that best align with the trajectory of the Constellation Network and global distribution.

Focus on Stability

Although the Constellation nodes are built to be lightweight, the initial operators will be running a full node in order to maintain stability across the node clusters. And as the network’s stability is battle-tested, lighter nodes will be able to join the network.

Hardware Servers

  • 4 GB Memory
  • 160 GB Disk
  • 4 CPU

Virtual Servers

  • GCP: n1-highcpu-4 (4 vCPUs, 3.6 GB memory)

Node Operator’s Handbook

Within this document, you will find the essential information on running a node and the related governance aspects of the early network. This is the start of a living network that is built, evolved and supported by you.

This Handbook is meant to be understood in combination with the Constellation Constitution and the Code of Ethics that we will collaborate with you, our community. As founders of the Constellation Network we want to make sure that our values and principles live on in the governance of the network.

Summer 2019 Preview

We will begin reviewing applicants during the month of August, 2019 and those selected will be notified on next steps via email. Due to a high number of node requests, we will not be able to notify those who have not been selected. However, please be on the lookout as we will reach out accordingly as we continue to onboard more full and lightweight nodes after the Constellation MainNet launches.
